Quartix offer 2 main types of alerting rules which can be applied to any Geo-fence zone. These rules will determine in what instance you will receive an alert notification to best suit your requirements.

Mandatory Rule

The vehicle(s) has to be in this area during the times specified. For example you may apply this to a county or district that the vehicle should not leave or a site address where the vehicle is left overnight. This can be applied to a zone based on customized location or by polygon. The hours of operation can be defined for each day of the week and you will be notified of a breach alert which is when any of the assigned vehicles exit the zone and a cleared alert when they go back in. Alerts can be sent via email and/or SMS.

Prohibited Rule

This is to be applied to zone/location where the vehicle is NOT allowed to be in a specified location/zone during your specified times. For example you may apply this to a drivers home address between working hours or a fast food restaurant between working hours. This alert type can also be applied to a zone based on customized location or Polygons. The hours of operation can be defined for each day of the week. You will be notified of a breach alert when any of your assigned vehicles enter the zone and a cleared alert when they exit the zone. Alerts can be sent via email and/or SMS.
