In addition to the many features offered online, Quartix also provides fleet alerting where vehicle activity notifications can be sent direct to your email and/or cell phone.
Alerts available to you
In addition to the Geo-fence alerting you can also request the below alerts be created.
- Out of hours movement alerts
- Speed alerts
- Idling (Stopped with ignition on) alerts
- Speed alerts for a specific zone/location
Alerts can be set up to send to multiple recipients by email and/or SMS. (Only available on our Infoplus packages)
Out of hours movement alerts
Although your Quartix system is NOT an anti-theft device we understand how important is to know if/when your vehicles move in their downtime. So while you are fast asleep our systems is still awake for you and your vehicles. This alert can be set up for a single vehicle, a selection of vehicles or all vehicles for different times and days if required.
Your out of hours alerting can be set up to alert you for the first movement only within your time period or for every ignition on/off within your specified time period. Giving you peace of mind when your vehicles are parked up for the night.
Based on KPH you can define a speed limit based on a single vehicle, group of vehicles or all vehicles to alert you when your specified speed has been exceeded. This will alert you to check your drivers tracking in more detail or feed this back in when they return to base.
Idling alerts (Stopped with ignition on)
Idling, otherwise known as stopped with ignition on is one of the areas where fuel can needlessly be burnt off. What may be a 2 minute stop outside a drop off point can quickly amount to hours when totalled over multiple instances within a working shift or week costing you money. With the idling alerts you can be alerted when your vehicle has been doing so for a set period of time which can be used as a prompt to either look at the tracking online or contacting the driver directly to find out more information. Reducing these instances can drastically save you money on fuel.
**Note: Setting up idling alerts requires a unit configuration amendment which will alter the length of time a stop is recorded. This will be in line with the idling limit you set. Speak to our systems support team for more information.
Speed alerts for a specific zone/location
A recently released feature, this combines speed and zone alerting and allows you to receive alerts based on speeds exceeded within a specific zone/location. For example if you have a speed restriction at a depot or site you can draw a polygon around this area and then email us to let us know the zone name and speed limit where we can then apply the alerting.
