Overview

The privacy mode application allows you to shorten and/or extend your current monitoring hours. This can be especially helpful when you have a short notice change in the vehicles activity you would like to react to, whether this be to start tracking the vehicle for business use or stop tracking the vehicle for private use.

Who would this most benefit?

The simple answer is both parties, your business and your drivers. The link to manage the monitoring hours is often provided to the driver of the vehicle for them to stop/start tracking as applicable for their activity. Instances such as lunchtimes, personal errands, early finishes etc may be where the driver may wish to stop the tracking until these are complete to prevent tracking in what turns into their personal time. If your vehicle has completed their business hours and is on call or if the shift has run over, the driver can then use this to extend the hours to cover this as business use to ensure this shows on the tracking.

Stay in control

Using your administration login details, you remain in control of what vehicles can be controlled via this monitoring link at any time. You can also control the way in which the hours can be updated;

  • Access to both shorten and extend monitoring hours
  • Access to shorten monitoring hours only
  • Access to extend monitoring hours only


Where do you find the privacy application?

Previously this was only available through a web link sent by our Systems team, however you can now access this on our website under the 'Sign in' section and click on 'Privacy Mode'.

Additional login access details

You can use your existing login details when accessing this mode but you will only be able to see/control the vehicles which have either been set up as part of the access details or that have been enabled online to have their hours shortened and/or extended. Should you require additional login details for a specific vehicle or group of vehicles email our Systems Support team who can set these up for you.
