Quartix offer a range of different options and flexibility when it comes to creating the right online access for you.

Whether it be for a driver, a depot or even a customer we can create a user to suite your needs. This article will cover the different options available to you.

Access options available to you

Subscriber User

This is one of the two default login details we will send when you first join Quartix. Typically, this will provide you with user permissions to 'All Vehicles/Groups' under your account.

Subscriber Admin

This is the second of the default login details we send you when first joining Quartix. These details are virtually the same as the user, however have ability to manage and change various features of your online system with the inclusion of the 'Configuration' in your application menu. Typically, this will provide you with access to 'All Vehicles/Groups' under your account.

Group Manager

A 'Group Manager' is used when creating a login access built up of selected groups under your account. This option is popular when creating access for individual sites/depots or departments which have no need to see all company vehicles. There are no restrictions on how many groups can be added to your account or to a set of login details. User or administration permissions can be assigned to this type of login.

Group Member

This type of login is applied when creating a login for a single vehicle. For example if you wish to have a driver access their own vehicle data for monitoring mileage etc. User or administration permissions can be assigned to this type of login.

Super User

A 'Super User' will allow access to multiple records/accounts under a single login. This can be created using administration or user permissions and is designed for a user to access all vehicles and groups across the multiple records for which it is set up for. This type of access is frequently created for sister companies or sites who may be invoiced separately.

Access permissions available to you

Permissions refer to what each created login detail can access. Listed below are the default permissions applied when you first sign up with Quartix.

User permissions

User permissions allow a login to have a 'read only' type of access. No changes can be made to the system with user permissions.

Administration permissions

Admin permissions allow a login to make changes to the Quartix site with the addition of the Configuration option. The addition of this option allows you to update group allocations, vehicle log recipients, registration numbers and much more.

Customising your access

In addition to the default login details created by Quartix you can also customise each login you create. With administration permissions you can now create and edit access details online by selecting Configuration > Users . Some of the more popular access types are listed below-

  • Live tracking only
  • Live tracking + Daily vehicle logs
  • Live tracking + Daily vehicle logs + Daily route maps
  • Live tracking + Configuration

Note: Customised access only applies when logging in online and does not apply to the mobile application.
